Interactive Account Executive (Sales)

SiteLab has attractive positions available for qualified business development and sales professionals. An Account Executive is responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities. Account Executives are paid on a base salary plus commission basis. They are responsible for achieving quarterly and annual sales quotas with no upper limit on earnings.

This position requires a combination of several skill sets including: consultative solution selling, presentation experience, customer interaction and relationship building. Experience selling online marketing solutions and web site development is required. This is not an entry level sales position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate leads: networking, events, partnerships, cold/warm calling, referrals, researching, etc.
  • Represent SiteLab at networking opportunities and other industry related events
  • Identify key players and top business challenges, research and obtain business requirements
  • Work closely with Sales Management and Production/Marketing Team to determine a strategic approach and client scope of work
  • Lead the development of client presentations and proposals, including company capabilities presentations
  • Ensure strong communication and follow-up by using designated sales tracking tools
  • Close new business to achieve sales quotas and obtain bonuses and increased commission
  • Manage the transition from closed sale to in-progress account with the Client Services Team
  • Attend sales meetings, provide forecasts and planning documents, provide regular status reports on the sales pipeline
  • Maintain strong ongoing relationships with prospects and clients
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends
  • Handle any required client follow-up regarding billing and collections
  • Travel when required

Required Skills, Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of successful sales experience in interactive online marketing
  • 3-5+ years of interactive agency experience
  • Knowledge of the following: web site development, SEM/SEO, CMS, e-commerce, social media, usability, Flash, web site design, web analytics, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or related field is required (MBA preferred)
  • Strong technical background in web site development is preferred
  • Disciplined self-starter is a must
  • Proven track record of strong experience prospecting into companies, opportunity qualification, planning, call structure/control, and time management
  • Superior communication skills: positive and energetic phone/interpersonal skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills are essential
  • The highest level of integrity, business and work ethics
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently with a positive attitude to tackle any challenge
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools
