Katy is possibly the nicest person here at SiteLab. Which is a good thing because she's also our Director of Client Services, responsible for making sure our clients are receiving the service that they demand and deserve. She is the Manager of Account Managers. Managing a team of the best Account Managers on the planet makes her job seem like a piece of cake, but in all seriousness hers is probably the most difficult. It doesn't matter the source of the problem, it's the existence of the problem that Katy can't and won't stand. It's this problem-solving attitude that she imparts on our Client Services Department here at SiteLab. She mentors Account Managers here on the finer points of immersion into client businesses and the industry in general as technology changes faster than fads these days.
Don't let her soft exterior fool you though, she's also an avid biker who rides a '64 Triumph Cub. And she also runs marathons...no small feat. Her key accomplishments include development of strategies for the Bay Area Rapid Transit System (BART) to increase ridership, for Wolfgang Puck to extend customer reach, and for Jenny Craig to drive online conversions.
Mike ZeMans can honestly brag that he built some of the first commercial sites on the World Wide Web (remember when all sites had a gray background?). His knowledge of information architecture, user flow efficiencies, SEO, and action-orientated design is an essential part of his leadership to staff & clients on all aspects of the online user experience. Mike commonly advises on issues of user intent and expectations, conversion pathway analysis/optimization, search marketing, and overall UI & design. In 2008, Mike earned his license as a CUA (Certified Usability Analyst).
Mike has a BA in Applied Mathematics - Economics, University of California, Riverside; plus, an MA, Applied Mathematics - Psychology, University of California, San Diego. Mike was one of the founding members of SiteLab in 1994.
Troy Troxler has worked in the internet space for so long, he was Product Manager for an online radio station with the domain www.com. Yes, www.com. We didn't forget to include the actiual domain...it was www.com. If we could still get domains like that, we might also still be able to turn double digit growth percentages month to month like back in the dot bomb era. And with Troy at the helm of Operations as our VP, we might still be able to turn those numbers. He's that good and so are we.
Troy wasn't only around for the beginning of the Internet (or so it seems), he also worked at SiteLab before we became SiteLab. Way back in 1994 he started his web career, right where it resides today, at 2223 Avenida de la Playa for the company we were spawned from, Bien Logic. Seventeen years later, he's back and ready for more. During Troy's career he has excelled at taking disorganized, scattered information and introducing systems and processes which improve efficiency and thus, return on investment. Troy's organizational and planning skills are second to none (which is exactly what you need at an interactive agency, trust us). In an industry where last year's technology may as well be last century's, Troy creates the processes, systems and organizational structures that keep SiteLab working efficiently.
Rion Morgenstern started his career in technology nearly fifteen years ago writing code for the early wave of e-commerce web sites for companies like Kingston Technology and Sony corp. As the infrastructure of the Internet was being expanded in the late 90's Rion's focus switched to hardware. Building storage networks for internet companies gave him a unique perspective on the requirements of running large systems serving millions of visitors per day.
In early 2002 Rion shifted focus from direct servicing of customers to leading and training teams to provide custom hardware and software solutions. Rion's teams created varied solutions from document capture and storage systems for the Church of Scientology to high performance post production video processing solutions for Technicolor. After building successful solution focused sales teams Rion had the unique opportunity for extended travel in 2006-07, visiting 32 countries on 5 continents. Immediately prior to joining SiteLab Rion led the sales effort for the MindTouch, the number one OpenSource collaboration platform. He brings to SiteLab a depth that allows a true consultative approach to problem solving.
